Print guide
Printing your sticker at home
No professional equipment. Just a regular printer and a sheet of sticker paper.
1
Download all three versions first
If you're not sure which fit will look best in real life, there's no reason to guess — download Cover, Contain, and Stretch and compare them directly. The files are tiny and the whole process takes seconds. Once they're sitting side by side on a piece of paper in front of you, you'll know immediately which one is right. It's genuinely much easier to judge on paper than on a screen, and a few extra prints costs almost nothing.
2
Open any document editor and paste the images in
Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and LibreOffice Writer all work perfectly — any of them will do. Create a new blank document, insert your PNG, and then resize the image to exactly 8.56 cm wide by 5.4 cm tall inside the document. That's the true physical size of a standard credit card, which means what you see on the page is precisely what comes off the printer and lands on your card. No guesswork about whether it'll be the right size once it's cut out.
8.56 cm wide × 5.40 cm tall
3
Print on sticker paper at the highest quality setting
Load a sheet of sticker paper into your printer — matte and glossy both work well, though glossy tends to give designs a richer, more vibrant finish. Set print quality to the highest available setting your printer offers and print normally. A standard inkjet is completely fine for this. Once the sheet comes out, let it sit for a minute before handling; the ink benefits from a few seconds to fully settle.
4
Cut, peel, and press flat
Cut along the card outline using scissors or a craft knife. For the sharpest edge, a metal ruler and craft knife beat scissors every time — a single clean stroke follows the line better than the slight curve scissors naturally take. Peel the backing slowly, align the sticker to one corner of your card, and press it flat by smoothing outward from that corner toward the opposite edge. That technique pushes any air out ahead of you rather than trapping it underneath in the middle. That's genuinely all there is to it.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know.
Are all credit cards the same size?
Yes. All standard credit, debit, and ID cards worldwide follow ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1: exactly 85.60 × 53.98 mm with a corner radius of 3.18 mm. This covers Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and virtually every bank card globally — so one sticker size fits all.
Why should I download all three fit modes?
Because it's hard to judge on screen how a design will look on an actual physical card. Cover might crop something important. Contain might leave bars that look odd in real life. Stretch might distort your logo in a way that isn't obvious until it's printed. Printing all three takes about 30 seconds and makes it immediately obvious which one you want.
What is Crop mode?
Crop mode opens an editor where your full image is shown on a dark canvas. A card-shaped frame sits in the centre — drag the image around and use the zoom slider to position exactly the portion you want inside the card. Hit Apply Crop and that exact selection becomes your sticker. It's the most precise way to get the framing right.
What does each automatic fit mode do?
Cover fills the entire card — perfect for full-bleed backgrounds, but edges may be cropped. Contain fits your whole image inside the card with black bars filling any empty space. Stretch forces the image to fill every pixel, which can distort proportions if your image isn't already close to the 85.6:54 ratio.
What resolution do I need for a sharp print?
For a crisp result at 85.6 × 54 mm, you need 300 DPI — that's 1011 × 638 pixels. Every file this tool generates is exactly that resolution. No further resizing needed.
Does my image leave my device?
Never. Everything runs entirely in your browser. Your image is not uploaded, not stored, and never leaves your device. The download is generated locally using the browser's built-in canvas API.
